MN: (i/a) or something. You were the mail order bride, didn't you tell me?

JG:   Not, not literally, He, he performed the wedding urn for a couple and, and this girl came up from Brazil to attend the wedding. It was her cousin. You know he's the mayor, I guess maybe she needed a green card. I don't know, but, uh.

(laughter)

She was 21 or 22 and he was 44 or 45. Yeah, he is, yeah he is (laughter) (talking over one. another - inaudible)

MN: Was he active in Pennsauken politics?

GN: Long before you were ever there back in the '70's when I first started out. When I was in high school.

MN: Huh- .

GN: He and I...he and I were down in John Street (i/a)

MN: Yeah.

GN: Uh, John was on council. JG:   Yeah.

GN: Back in the seventies (i/a) all those guys. Ah, what he took on (i/a) and and uh beat em. So that's un back in the early seven ... mid seventies.

JG:   Yeah.

GN: Um uh ... and then a number of years ...I guess ... whose? (i/a) Kevin Cougan became the chairman. I remember that.

7G: Um huh.

GN: But the problem that I had in the beginning in `89 um George Lee, you know has so many hats on he has I'm, I'm uh, owned by the republicans through the bridge commission hat.

JG:   Correct.
