JG: No, you know what, I actually tossed him out a couple years ago. He's an arrogant fuck. I went to lunch with him. He was gonna give me like ten grand. Gary asked me to get some money for him. I went in he said he was gonna give it to me, went back for the next luncheon, this is a couple years ago and I said Rich you know I want the money. I want ten, so much of it was for the county, so much was for me and he told me he said John, off the record, I just had a meeting with Paulsen. I gave Paulsen twenty-five K, he told me I can't give to your campaign. And that's all there is to it. I said no problem, see you around. When we took control last year he called me. I said no Rich, I said we had lunch last year and I said go fuck yourself.

MN: Paulsen plays that game with everybody except Alaimo. He tells everybody you can't, you wanna work with me, you can't work with any democrat. Alaimo, he says that's a pre-existing condition, I can't do anything about that.

GN: Now, let's think about this. Come up with some ideas on how we can do this cause somebody like you I can probably maneuver with Gallagher and work something that sounds good, looks good, but we gotta be sure that we'll bring 80% of the party together and isolating these other (i/a). and it can't be temporary. It's gotta be something that's gonna stay together. So, you know, the Floyds probably got to be, buy into it I guess.
